TZ Yearbook 2011

Learning Technologies, 25 - 26 Jan, 2012

Editor's note

Welcome to the Training Zone community.

TrainingZone is the UK's leading independent community of people who work in the world of learning and development. We are an enthusiastic and engaged community of professionals who use this site to: learn from our peers via the Any Answers forum; read the latest opinion and discourse from a wide variety of thought leaders at the coalface of L&D; and opinionate and ruminate on a wide variety of subjects through the blogs section. And that's really just the tip of the iceberg - have a look around and see how useful this community can be for you.

February's theme is 'evolution of learning'. How did we learn? How do we learn now? What's the difference between the two? Clearly technology has made a difference over the last 50 years but has it changed the fundamentals?

A quick word about our next webinar. On 24 february at 12pm David Smith of InSyncTraining shares technology tips and project management techniques to create successful programmes. Entitled 'Behind the scenes: Running flawless online events', it's completely free and you can register here

We've had a lot of new bloggers join in the debate recently so visit the blogs to read the latest from the new members of our blogosphere. Of course there will be details of our next free webinar coming soon as well.

And remember, if you have a training event or awards ceremony that you would like listed, just get in touch at editor@trainingzone.co.uk

Regular features like the caption competition and book club will carry on of course, so keep your peepers peeled for them too.

Kind regards,

Jon Kennard
