Getting Ready for Change

I am working with one of our functional areas who will be facing organisational change within the next few months, and which may lead to rationalisation and reorganisation of their work.  We have a team away day to talk through some of this, and I would like to run an exercise on 'getting ready for change'.  Does anyone have any ideas on models or practical exercises we could run?

Leading during change and Coping with Change

Hi

I have designed two 4-hour sessions on change management. Session 1 is for managers to help them lead their teams through a period of change. Session 2 is for employees to help them understand some of the feelings they may be having and changes in behaviour they may undergo during the change. Happy to share the material and walk you through it if you want me to.

In summary, the material looks at the feelings and behaviours displayed by individuals whose roles, responsibilities, reporting lines and even physical location are being changed.  There are five phases which the training focuses on and walks people through

  1. Denial
  2. Anger
  3. Rationalisation
  4. Acceptance
  5. Growth

Please do contact me if you are interested in the material.

Regards

Ranjit
