You’ve Created Your Learning Strategy, What Next?

default-16x9

You've created the strategy what next?
If you've ever been involved in some form of planning you know after the planning, there is a sigh of relief that at last you've finished it. Don't breath easy yet, because now the real work starts. This is another reason why you should not spend a lot of time creating a bulky learning strategy. As discussed in previous posts keep it lean and simple. It should be a plan you are comfortable reading anytime. At this point it may be useful to create a more detailed project plan outlining how you will achieve the objectives in your strategy. This is for the l&d team only and it should be kept simple. Don't role out MS Project, Excel will do. Having all projects on a simple sheet so you can track them helps. You can even have the objectives from the strategy on the spreadsheet shown in the lean learning strategy canvas format.
Once you've got your strategy and project plan in place, move into action and don't get sidetracked. There will be other things you need to work that don't fall into the strategy, just make sure you allocate most of your time and resources to support the priorities identified in your strategy.
