The improvements to TrainingZone continue at pace…

default-16x9

Since our redesign over a year ago, we've been constantly striving to make TrainingZone as intuitive and pleasant to use as possible for our readers.

As well as the aesthetic changes, we've tried to make the site easier to navigate, and show you more of the content you enjoy reading.

I thought it was about time to update you on some of the recent updates we've made, which will hopefully make your experience on TrainingZone even better.

Site improvements

We've added...

  • The ability for members to show or hide their job titles & company names in their profiles
  • You can also turn on/off  notifications for any likes or thanks you get on posts you've created
  • We've also improved the speed of the site - so pages should load that bit quicker for you

Coming soon...

We can also reveal that private messaging is coming to TrainingZone soon!

You’ll get a new section in your account page, showing you which private messages you’ve received, and allowing you to send messages to any TrainingZone member.

You'll also have the ability to turn off this functionality if you don't wish to be messaged through the site.

Community improvements

We're also keener than ever to get a mix of voices on to the site, so are encouraging more of our readers to start a blog on TrainingZone to tell us about their experiences, or submit an idea for one of our new feature series on site.

Here are just a few series you can get involved in (just email us to tell us your idea):

And if you want to make a start on  your blog, here are some ideas:

  • Personal experiences & tips in the workplace
  • Book reviews
  • Event reviews

We've got our Blogging Guide already, but want to share more tips on how to get started with writing on the site, and how to get it noticed by the right people, so watch this space!

And of course you still have the opportunity to start a debate or ask a question in our Discuss forum.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on the changes I've mentioned, or if there's anything else you'd like to see on the site!
