eLearning vs gamification

default-16x9

Our Business Development Manager recently wrote a blog post titled 'eLearning vs Gamification: Which Is Right For You?' which got me thinking if gamification is commercially viable for training companies?

I would be interested to hear of any experiences or opinions on this topic. Let me know in the discussion section below or on the blog.

  1. Hi Dave,
    Hi Dave,

    Really interesting post and blog.

Is a project commercially viable? It can be. I think its important to do your analysis, talk to people, find out the requirements, whether its relevant and actually what the need is.

Often overlooked is that you can integrate game design into any project not just gamification projects but you’ve still got to make sure your design is right.

As Jane McGonigal said “Lots of things have the bells and whistles, but not the heart of a game”

I wrote a Training Zone blog article a few years ago about how you can use game design without it becoming a 100% game based learning project.
