Meet the team
Want to know who's behind TrainingZone.co.uk? Well here they are!
Jon Kennard, Editor
Jon started at Sift Media in 2008 as assistant content manager and subeditor across the whole portfolio, before returning in 2010 as cover for Verity as editor. Prior to Sift, Jon used to write for University Business magazine, as well as several local and national culture magazines. Jon is one of only three people in the UK never to have seen a full episode of Only Fools and Horses.
Henry Osadzinski, community manager
Henry joined Sift in 2011 and manages the online communities across all of our publications. Day to day he’s working behind the scenes, making sure forum discussions run smoothly. He studied Linguistics at University College London and, outside of work, is an avid gamer, advocate of digital distribution and roller derby referee.
Michael Strawbridge, online publisher
Michael joined Sift in 2007 with over 10 years' experience in b2b sales. Michael's experience covers online, direct marketing and traditional on the page campaigns. He previously trained as an actor and has appeared in the movie 'The Young Americans' with Harvey Keitel. In his spare time Michael can be found exercising his two dogs on his local beach especially on cold winter days.
Ed Martin, marketing manager
Ed joined us in 2006, focusing on increasing membership and supporting our ad sales team. Taking care of trade shows and media partnerships allows Ed to escape the office occasionally. Ed is a keen racing cyclist, but reluctantly accepts he may never be good enough for the Tour de France.
Jenny Ogden, head of community
Jenny has been at Sift for more than eight years and currently heads up the community and marketing team across the Sift Media portfolio. Jenny has worked in the online industry for ten years. She has a separate wardrobe for all her fancy dress costumes.
Darren Falkingham, head of ecommerce
Darren has 13 years experience in b2b marketing and research, working with IBM, Swiss Re and Marlborough Stirling. He joined Sift Media in 2006 to lead marketing, brand development, e-commerce and strategic partnerships. Darren comes from musical stock - his dad was on Opportunity Knocks.
