Ode to the spell checker

default-16x9

The original source for this little poem appears to be lost in the mists of time - so apologies to the uncredited copyright owner (if you know, let us know and we'll publish it). For anyone teaching Word skills, it's a useful reminder of just how fallible that spell checker can really be.

Ode to My Spell Checker

Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marquis four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
It's rarely ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
It's letter perfect in it's weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.
