TrainingZone.co.uk Forward Features 2008

TrainingZone.co.uk welcomes contributions to our features. Below are our themes for 2008 along with details of our editorial guidelines. If you have an idea for a feature, please contact the features editor on features@trainingzone.co.uk

1) Themes for 2008
Each week, TrainingZone.co.uk publishes a feature that fits in with that month's theme. The themes for 2008 are below. They serve as guideline for the topics we will cover, but we're happy to hear your suggestions for specific features, just drop a line to features@trainingzone.co.uk

It's always best to submit an idea of what you have in mind first, before writing anything.

Features should ideally be 900 words long.

  • January: Back to Basics
  • February: Coaching and Mentoring
  • March: Management Development
  • April: Training Trends
  • May: IT training
  • June: Team development
  • July: How to make training more effective
  • August: Train the trainer/ trainer development
  • September: Qualifications
  • October: Evaluation
  • November: Elearning and all that
  • December: Reflections
  • Opinion pieces
We welcome contributions on topics allied to training and development. This is very much a chance to jump on the soapbox about anything you feel strongly about. It could be an opinion about the best form of evaluation, how to motivate people or a rally against business-speak, we really are open to your suggestions. The wordcount for these features is around 900 words. These don't have to fit in with the monthly themes listed above.

    Editorial Guidelines
Our editorial policy is not to use material directly promoting an organisation's goods and services. Instead, we publish original contributed features containing specific viewpoints on training-related subjects, advice guides and opinion pieces commenting on experiences of the training market. While you are writing for training professionals, not too much jargon please - it's best to assume your audience knows nothing!
