CPD Business School offers quicker route to Masters for CIPD graduates
A new development from the TrainingZONE CPD Business School means that those with existing CIPD qualifications have a chance to work towards a Masters qualification in a shorter period of time, thanks to accreditation of prior learning being granted.
Speaking for the Business School, which launched last month, Dr Richard Hale, Director of Action Learning Forums said: "We are pleased to announce that the CPD Business School in conjunction with the International Management Centres Association has agreed recognition will be given for entry to its Masters level programmes for prior learning through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) professional development programme and professional training qualifications.
Under the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) facility, members coming in at Masters level will be able to receive credit for up to one third. In effect this means that those with the full CIPD professional qualification can complete their Masters with eight Action Learning Questions rather than twelve. Each Action Learning Question is based around real work situations with a requirement to show action and learning which is typically completed and written up over a 6-8 week period.
A requirement for entry through this route is that the member must complete an initial first assignment providing details of the way in which learning derived from the CIPD qualifications has been applied."
