Accreditation

I am putting together a plan to move elearning forward in the organisation. Part of this is to define certain roles including the consulatnt (who advises others), developers (who devlop learning objects) and tutors (who facilitate online learning sessions). For each of these I want to investigate how we would go about getting accrediation. Can you help or advise?

I believe that the Institue of IT Training have just launched accredited training programmes in the areas you mention.

The CPD Business School (see Partner Pages here) offers accrediation of management based onb real work activities – could include facilitation etc. based on what are called Action Learning Questions – you define fo select your question based on the work issue not someone else’s predefined syllabus – you then access the body of knowledge via online libraries and share with other learners, take real action, review and write up. Leads to Post Grad Cert, Dip or Masters – let me know if you want to talk to an organisation using this approach – [email protected]

  3. CeLP Accreditation
The Certified e-Learning Professional Programme offered by the Training Foundation covers all the key roles you list:

    e-Learning Consultant,
    e-Learning Developer,
    e-Learning Tutor
    e-Learning Manager.

CeLP certificates are awarded by NCC Education, a leading UK Awarding Body with an international reputation for educational qualifications.

The Certificate programme may then be complemented by a number of electives that broaden the candidate’s knowledge and skills in order to gain a full Diploma in e-Learning.

You can download the relevant competency framework from the CeLP Portal:

Please get in touch if you need further advice.

    Best wishes
