September 24th 2003 An effective reward system stimulates the continuous improvement of performance and motivation in an organisation but precious few organisations have worked out what a good reward system looks like for them. Effective reward management is so challenging because a reward system that delivers these results in one organisation may have totally the opposite effect in another. Equally baffling is the fact that good reward systems require constant updating to remain effective and relevant.
