Making Reward Work

September 24th 2003
Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London
Book online here Making Reward Work booking form

An effective reward system stimulates the continuous improvement of performance and motivation in an organisation but precious few organisations have worked out what a good reward system looks like for them. Effective reward management is so challenging because a reward system that delivers these results in one organisation may have totally the opposite effect in another. Equally baffling is the fact that good reward systems require constant updating to remain effective and relevant.

Making Reward Work will investigate:

The external factors that will have an impact on organisations in 2004 and beyond – economic, political and reward market pressures.
The reward strategies that integrate business and human resource strategy and more importantly, contribute to motivation and performance.
What motivates people - the key objective of a reward system. An objective that can be achieved only by using a range of extrinsic and intrinsic reward mechanisms that go well beyond the traditional focus on pay and incentive schemes.
What works: we will explore, through briefings and case studies, current practice in reward and motivation management.
At the one day conference, delegates will have the opportunity to learn from leading edge thinkers - from HR practioners, motivational speakers and industry commentators. The conference not only offers plenary sessions but also a number of interactive workshops.
