The British Business Professional Skills Development (BBPSD), a business training and learning solutions specialist working in partnership with an international college in the Middle East, has signed an exclusive 10-year contract with Pearson VUE to assess candidates via computer-based testing.

Pearson VUE, the global leader in computer-based testing, has announced that it will be a Gold Sponsor for the second annual European Association of Test Publishers (E-ATP) Conference.

Held in Sitges, Spain from 29 September to 1 October 2010, the conference is aimed at all those involved in the business of testing people, whether they already have an established testing programme or are considering using assessment for the first time. E-ATP exists to help publicise advances in testing and attract new business from Europe and beyond.

Fortress - an Egypt-based major training and financial service company - has signed an exclusive ten-year contract with Pearson VUE to deliver exams via computer-based testing.
 
Historically, Fortress assessed candidates via paper-based testing but will convert to Pearson VUE's fast, highly secure computer-based testing from September this year.  The conversion will see approximately 10% of exams undertaken at the Fortress test centre in Cairo, with the remaining 90% to be delivered via Pearson VUE’s extensive global network of test centres.

A pioneering medical college based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has signed an exclusive seven-year contract with Pearson VUE to receive quality solutions and services to meet its assessment needs. In addition to the delivery of computer-based testing, the partnership will include training and consulting services, item banking and editing tools, item development and related psychometric services.

The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) has announced that it will deliver tests online for the first time in its history after agreeing to a partnership with Pearson VUE.

Formed in 2001, CIBAFI is a non-profit organisation based in Manama, Bahrain which provides information and services to the Islamic Financial Services Industry (IFSI).

The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) has signed a landmark new contract to deliver its examinations online via Pearson VUE’s extensive network of over 5,000 highly secure test centres in more than 165 countries. 

Until now the ICB had only delivered paper-based examinations, which makes the conversion to computer-based testing such an exciting move within the profession.

The African Society for Quality in Healthcare (ASQH), based in Cairo, Egypt, has signed an exclusive five-year partnership with Pearson VUE to deliver its International Board for Quality in Healthcare (IBQH) programme.

The ifs School of Finance has been using e-assessment since 2002. In the past 8 years the ifs has worked closely with Pearson VUE to deliver over 200,000 computer based tests. The new contract, which runs until the end of 2013, cements this relationship going forward.

Istanbul, Turkey. Wednesday 10 March 2010. COMPUTER-based assessment company Pearson VUE has announced that it is one of two testing providers selected to deliver CompTIA’s newly-launched Turkish language CompTIA A+® exam.

This means that CompTIA, which is already a long-standing client of Pearson VUE internationally, will be able to offer the globally recognised CompTIA A+ qualification through Pearson VUE’s network of test centres in major towns and cities across Turkey.

The Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) has signed a contract with computer-based testing and assessment company, Pearson VUE, for item development for its Pharmacy and Nursing Licensure programmes. The new contract follows the awarding by HAAD in mid-2009 to Pearson VUE of a contract for transitioning HAAD’s licensure examination programme to computer-based delivery.

HAAD is the body responsible for licensing, quality control and regulation of all healthcare facilities and professional practitioners in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. 

Lloyd's, the world's leading specialist insurance market, will be commencing a new contract with Pearson VUE, the world's leading computer-based testing and assessment business, to deliver a new computer-based version of the Lloyd's and London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT) to enable users of LLMIT worldwide to take the exam.

The Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) is set to migrate all of its tests to be delivered via a digital platform following a new contract with computer-based assessment company Pearson VUE.

PEARSON VUE has been chosen by the International Software Quality Institute (iSQI GmbH) for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) delivery for its internationally recognised certification exams, with an initial three-year contract.

Global market leader Pearson VUE, the computer-based assessment company, has announced its attendance at a number of key industry events across Europe in the coming weeks.

Pearson today announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract extension with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) of Great Britain and the Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) of Northern Ireland, to deliver the driving theory test service until 2014.

The driving theory test has been administered by Pearson VUE, the professional testing business of Pearson, since September 2004. The original seven-year contract was due to expire in 2011, and has now been extended by three years.

Train the trainer maestro Mike Morrison has just agreed to lead a CIPD Certificate in Training Practice (CITP) course for one time only for DPG in London.

Mike, well known in the leadership and management training community for his regular contributions to professional media and prolific blogging, will front the course at London Kensington on 14th October.
