Making time for reflection

Is it proving difficult to find a window for yoursef at work? Pilar Orti gives the community some advice.
I am a great advocate of taking time off to stop and take stock, especially during busy times. Even though the world is changing at the speed of light and digital technology has made it easier to be productive 24 hours a day, I have recently noticed others also calling for reflection.
In January, Daniel Patrick Forrester published the book 'Consider: Harnessing the Power of Reflective Thinking In Your Organization'. Richard Branson advocated in his blog the need to 'Take Time Off to Succeed'. Leadership Now's Leading blog ran the four-part series "Taking Another Look: Leading Minds on Reflection" with contributions from John Kotter and Marshall Goldsmith amongst others.
