5 Team Building Ideas for Great Staff Management

default-16x9

With all those benefits of team building activities, you’re finding them hard to resist. It’s not that you are merely interested in following the latest craze. The fact is that team building really works, and by that we mean it increases productivity and motivation. Everybody loves the sense of community, and it’s not achieved only by working on the same floor. The ties are much stronger if they are made via something fun, especially outside the working space.

Management is all about the right communication, and it definitely improves by attending team building events. What is more, you will notice your workers have suddenly become much more innovative and are brimming with new ideas. If you like all that you have read so far, take a look at these 5 team building activities and you’ll soon be reaping benefits, as well as have fun during the process.

Sports

All right, this one is pretty predictable, but it’s still one of the best suggestions. Whether you opt for an adrenaline rush with paintballing and rafting, or it’s yoga classes for endurance and inner peace, the results will be tangible. You can organize some gym or Pilates sessions in the middle of your workday, so no one can say “I couldn’t make it”. Also, it won’t be observed as something that’s taking up too much of their precious free time.

In addition, whichever activity is done outdoors is bound to appeal to everyone. Connecting with nature is what most of us are missing out on. In case you truly believe your staff is too inactive and grumpy, try taking them to a soccer or basketball game. Just to watch the game and yell their support.

Concerts

Talking about simple actions, there is hardly anything better than that feeling after a good concert. Naturally, you should find a singer or a band that most of your staff enjoy, but don’t expect all of them to love the performance. Nevertheless, what everybody will remember is the whole team singing (or trying to sing) and swaying to the music. Volunteering

There’s more to team building than meets the eye. Volunteering can be of immense help to those in need and your company at the same time. Have your employees appear to charitable events wearing T-shirts with your logo. In this way, your company will be building a positive image among its future customers.

By the way, such activities will boost the feeling of pride and satisfaction among the workers, and they will feel more connected to their colleagues, thus making the communication easier.

Games

It’s never too late to go back to childhood and play some of the games we used to love. How long has it been since you played charade? Also, there are plenty of office games you can use to trigger laughter and create a jolly atmosphere. Even the shy ones are bound to join in the crowd and forget about all the strains for a moment.

Social gatherings

By this, we mean Happy Hours and barbecues. Everyone deserves a break after a hard week, and it won’t hurt to finish work a bit earlier on Fridays and spend some time with your colleagues making small talk and getting to know each other. This is also an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues from other teams. Friendship inspires cooperation, so a lot of new projects can emerge after some casual chats.

Finally, don’t expect that the whole staff will simply jump at the idea of team building. There will always be some who will have a complaint or two, but it’s up to you to organize events that are most suitable for your team. The greatest ideas usually appear outside the office, so get down to making some plans. Before you know it, your business we’ll be going like clockwork.
