This is the answer!….What’s the question?

default-16x9

I have a friend in car sales. He's a nice chap. Truly!! The trouble is, he has promotions and targets to honour, and this affects his advice. When there is a new model on the market, he learns everything about it (as he should), but then because it is being pushed, it seems that every customer who walks through the door is perfectly suited to it!

  • Looking for good value? Our finance options make this easily affordable.
  • Looking for economy? He can quote the miles per gallon and tax rates.
  • Looking for style? He can point out all the latest features.
  • Looking for performance? Well, it's got that too.
  • What about safety? He can assure you of that by quoting all the safety tests and ratings that its got.

So, its perfect for everyone then? Of course it isn't. And what's more, he isn't mis-selling anything (certainly not deliberately). The fact is, he's excited by this model, it's what he knows best, and he genuinely believes it to be good (which it probably is). But that doesn't mean it's for everyone.

Sometimes trainers with a 'product' can get a bit blinkered in this way. It is a great programme, it worked will in XYZ company, it will be great for you. So they are persuading the client that their programme is perfect for their needs. This is the answer, now what's the question?

As an invisible trainer, a bespoke training designer, I have nothing to sell apart from my knowledge, experience and time. It's fantastic! No persuading required, just 2 ears set to 'listen', and then lots and lots of problems solving, creating thinking and idea generation.

I love my job!
