At the beginning of last month I ran a one day workshop in marketing for small teams.

Yesterday I did a telephone follow-up to assess, remind, chase and offer more support.  Whilst all the delegates reported changes of behaviour and improvements in results, one of the delegates was full of wild excitement; at the end of the workshop I'd asked all the delegates to create a short action plan based on what they had learned.  He had started to fulfill the actions the very next day and reports that the team's billings of new business in the month of May will make this month a record breaker!

And the advance billings and pipeline work for June are also looking as if they too will produce another Olympic Gold month!

The general recession doesn't seem to be over but it does show that we all have a degree of agency over our own future within it.
