Is right message for upcoming courses important?

Is getting the timing of the messaging right for an upcoming course important

Is getting the timing of the messaging right for an upcoming course important

When should it start?

Should it differ for the type of training?

When and how often should reminders go out?

What method do you use?

Hi there, I think it's hugely important. Where most L & D teams go wrong is that the communication is often centered around L & D practice rather than what's in it for the attendee. The message should be clear about what actual business benefit it will give. For example, if the individual attends a course on Data Protection, they don't care if they can describe the seven principles, (that's a L & D thing). What they do care about is this course will help them remain compliant and hiit their quality targets, for example. It should change for each course because the message should be what's important to them not what's important to the trainer or L & D. This is why L & D practitioners should learn about Marketing Techniques like nudge marketing to make what they do more attractive.

I agree with Clive. Look at films and tv programmes - they are all advertised and marketed beforehand. Its the shop window for your forthcoming course (like a cv should be to get an interview). It needs to be couched in how the delegate will benefit.
