mind-mapping in powerpoint

mind-mapping in powerpoint

Didn't find your answer?

Hi there.

I am attempting to use PowerPoint to 'do' mindmapping.  Does anybody out there have a template they would be able to share with me?

[email protected]

I don't (sadly) have budget to buy any software so am attempting a 'make do and mend' approach.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Again, no help with the PPT thing, but I can recommend FreeMind, it's an extremely popular mind mapping tool (and it's free): http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

If you really want to use PPT to present info in a non-linear fashion then check out pptPlex, a free add-in for PPT from Microsoft Office Labs: http://www.officelabs.com/projects/pptPlex/Pages/default.aspx

Also no help with Mind Mapping but Prezi is a good way of presenting information...although it does make you a bit queezy if you look at the zooming for too long!

Wow... there's a lot to take in.  I'll spend some time looking at the recommendations you have all kindly made and will post once I've selected something.

Many thanks for your contributions.

HI everybody

Thank you so much for the feedback, ideas and suggestions.  I have sourced amazing mindmapping software from Tony Buzan.  http://www.thinkbuzan.com/uk/

They have an incredible mindmapping software programme which I'm so amazed with and can see so many uses in addition to those I started with that I've prized the lid off my company moneybox and purchased the full version.

The free system is great, but (as one would expect) the functionality for the paid for product is amazing... linkage with gantt charts, project planning, the 3d abilities, running presentations using it.... hopefully you can feel my enthusiasm with the words as you read them.

Thanks for the contributions of the PM's also received.
