Minute taking exercises

default-16x9

Hi All

At short notice I am delivering a one day course on minute taking next week.  Ideally I would like to include some samples of minutes, both good and poor, to show the group.  Those I have are rather business-specific and may not be suitable for this mixed group.  Do you have any you would be happy to share?

Also, any other practical exercises I could include to liven up the existing materials would be great.

Many thanks in advance.

Jenny

  1. “good” minutes

    Hi Jenny

This probably doesn't help much, but surely the judgement of "good" is in the 'eye if the beholder'….to some people 'good' means a virtually verbatim record of all that was said, by who.

To others 'good' means a simple list of the outcomes; ie who has actions what and when and what is recorded for information.

  2. Eye of the beholder certainly

    Hi Rus

Yes, thanks, my thoughts as well.  I have three examples so far, one which I feel is overlong and detailed (a bit he said/she said), one which gives insufficient detail imho and one which is about right – for me at least!!

    Hope you're well.
