Trainer Agreements & Rules

default-16x9

Hi Everyone

Thankfully, and through hard work, we are growing and as we continue to grow I'm keen to ensure that we have quality control and measures which ensure our clients receive great training and great service.

I wanted to get feedback on what agreements people either currently use when using external trainers, or what agreements trainers are signing when delivering training.

I'm keen to avoid a lengthy document which puts trainers off however we need to have something which is a standard approach when using external trainers and providers to deliver in-house training.

What parts of these agreements are useful?

If I spell things out e.g. do's and don't when with clients, would that offend trainers?

Would trainers like to see anything from clients to what they agree to e.g. agree to send over information via email X number of days beforehand etc.

Thanks

Blake

  2. I’ve said it before but…..

    ….Hi Blake

I’ve said this before on this topic but I’ll say it again.

Please make the agreement two sided; I recently got a Trainer agreement where the consultancy or client could cancel at no notice and the trainer simply accepted this as part and parcel of the deal, but if the trainer pulled out there were draconian penalties of a fiscal natue (up to 4 times the day rate as I remember)

All too often the agreement is all about quality from the trainer but no reciprocal support from the client or consultancy.

    Sorry to whinge!

  3. Training Protocols

Absolutely  Russ – you are not moaning at all.It has to be a WIN-WIN all around

Expected protocols on both sides are critical

  4. no whinge

    Rus,

What you’ve said is not a whinge, it should be outlawed.   Without great relationships with trainers we have no supply chain so I know we have to look after them as much as we do our clients.

Unfortunately there are companies that don’t have this policy,  pay peanuts and charge excessive amounts to clients.
