The Browser is always on the lookout for resources to make trainers' lives easier. This week we feature a website that offers trainers the ability to pool knowledge and share resources for the greater, collective, good.

Inspired by the Freecycle phenomenon, www.synergizetrainingresources.com is a new website that aims to get trainers sharing their resources.

In the left hand bar of the homepage, there are 19 categories of resources, including teamwork and leadership, confident management, managing self, development and delegation and trainer support.

To download the materials, you must register as a viewer or author. Viewers can use the resources without charge, with the caveat that they should be properly attributed when used. Authors can submit their own training materials and in return get free advertising namely an author page, which includes contact details.

Bear in mind, this is a fledgling site (launched in January '09) so doesn't yet have the '1000s of resources' it suggests on its homepage. Some of the resources, such as 'The 4 Ds of time management' and 'Setting smart goals' are short, but none-the-less useful, and wouldn't look out of place on our Trainer's tips page.

You may not download an entire seminar plan here, but there are ideas, exercises and examples that could save you time and money. And, as more people register and get involved, the resources will grow. All-in-all, well worth a peak.
