Can you recommend a cross-platform online authoring tool?

default-16x9

Can anyone recommend an authoring tool for making on-line training applications which are capable of running cross platform on Netscape Communicator. Most on-line authoring tools I have evaluated only generate content for IE or for Windows.

Thank you

Two I have tried are Toolbook II Assistant from Asymetrix (www.asymetrix.com) and Dreamweaver Attain from (www.macromedia.com.

Both will allow you to produce reasonably high quality materials for use across an Internet/intranet system and claim to be cross-platform capable. As they are HTML coded, they should be. I’ve never had trouble with them using Windows NT.

They are comprehensive programs allowing development of questionnaires, providing automatic feedback to instructors and so on.

A new product from an Australian firm called SouthRock (www.southrock.com.au) is said to be excellent too, but I haven’t used it.

    Good luck.
