CSSA urge government for tax benefits in IT training

default-16x9

Following a call upon the government last month from the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS), the Industry trade body, Computing Services and Software Association (CSSA) are also urging the government to introduce tax benefits for companies and their employees to invest in IT training.

Tim Conway, who spoke at the Learning Technologies show at Olympia stated that there is currently a chronic underinvestment in IT Training considering the amount of new IT incentives being introduced all the time.

Conway stated that a collaborative effort is required to link the government with industry in order to tackle the forthcoming IT skills shortage effectively.

There are very few tax incentives in existence to encourage individuals and companies to invest in lifelong learning that would be of benefit to both in the long run.
