The DfEE has published details in the Official Journal of the EU of its tendering arrangements for IT facilities to deliver a wide range of training products (in both IT and non-IT subjects) to its staff.
The Department wishes to deliver training direct to the desktop personal computers of all its staff using an internal Intranet. Interestingly, enquiries are being handled at the 'DfEE On-Line Learning Initiative' of the Training and Development Division in Sheffield.
The stories demonstrates the DfEE's continuing commitment to web technology. The Department is one of the larger government publishers of information for the general public on the Web as part of the Open Government initiative.
