Interactive induction via Intranet

default-16x9

We are looking at ways of providing an Induction Package over the Intranet. We have had a presentation from one company but want to look at others and also at people's experences of doing induction this way. Any comments would be appreciated.

  1. Induction
John, I would be interested to find out why you are choosing the intranet for your induction package. Which topics would you be including? I am currently involved in a project to put together a global induction programme and would like your views.

  2. We did this..
Like a lot of companies we have an Induction programme that is of great value to us, but which also costs a deal of money to run.

We moved some of the programme online – not all of it – and saved some of that time and money in delivery. At the same time we gave our new starters an introduction to the way we do thins online, and gave the whole organisation a new resource where both old and new can go and find useful information.

If anyone is thinking of ‘making a start’ in eLearning, then I would highly recommend taking a look at the Induction programme as a potential pilot.

  3. try Metis
I know that Metis Training in Manchester have a number of systems to develop Induction programmes using Internet and Intranet. We worked with them a while ago and they have some excellent ideas and practices.
We have not moved to full scale implementation ourselves yet, but are looking to do so as we grow over the next twelve months.
