Rob Hubbard has taken over from Clive Shepherd as chair of the eLearning Network, an international membership organisation of more than 3,000 professionals in the elearning and training industry.

Hubbard has worked in the elearning industry in a number of roles for more than 12 years, founding his own company LearningAge Solutions Limited in 2005, and has been an elected member of the eLearning Network (eLN) Board for the past three years.

Hubbard was delighted to be taking on the role and paid tribute to outgoing chair Clive Shpherd. He said: "Clive has worked tirelessly to further the work of the eLN and will be a tough act to follow. We wish him well in his future endeavours and look forward to his continued involvement.

"It’s an exciting time for elearning and, as elearning professionals, we can benefit so much from sharing experience and knowledge amongst our community. With the support of the highly dedicated eLN Board, I hope to lead our organisation to new heights in our 25th anniversary year."

Outgoing chair, Clive Shepherd, added: "My four years as chair have been highly rewarding. I have worked alongside some extremely capable people on the eLN board and I am delighted that one of those, Rob Hubbard, has been elected to move things forward in the coming year. These are exciting times for elearning and the eLN is certainly going to be needed to support the fast-growing body of elearning specialists and enthusiasts."
