Self-destructing e-mails, a move towards protecting privacy?

default-16x9

A US firm called Absolute Future have launched a dynamic secure e-mail service called Safe Message in a bid to guarantee users that their private information cannot fall into the wrong hands.

They have come up with self-destructing e-mails that users can choose how long their messages remain in their and recipients inboxes before they are automatically removed and then overwritten.

Three encryption processes are mobilised to ensure that data transmitted between the account holders remain secure. Added protection ensures that the message cannot be printed, copied or even forwarded by the recipient.

This system is not intended to become a replacement to existing e-mail systems, it is intended for private personal use.
