TUC launches online learning service for members

The TUC launches its new web-based learning system on Tuesday.

learnOnline is developed in developed in partnership with London-based IT specialists, Online Publishing Education Ltd.

The launch event will be posted by David Blunkett, and includes representatives from many TUC related organisations. A virtual conference will form part of the proceedings, demonstrating the reach of elearning methods.

learnOnline will give union members greater access to learning than ever before, using the latest in cutting edge technology. Students communicate with their tutors via a user-friendly 'virtual classroom' which has all the tools and facilities available in a traditional learning environment, but which has the added value of being accessible over the internet from work, home, libraries or internet cafés at any time, anywhere in the world.
