In-house development that’s a degree better

Munters Limited, a property damage prevention and restoration specialist, is set to offer staff degree level qualifications within the workplace.

Using the web-enabled The Working Manager (TWM) platform, employees from the company will be among the first in the country to benefit from working towards Foundation Degrees in Leadership and Management via a work-based learning route available within Munters’ in-house academy.

Munters’ head of business support Mike Waterfield said: “Some managers have vast hands-on management experience but often have never had the opportunity to obtain a higher education qualification.

“Not only will this route for learning enable our managers to gain a strong academic understanding of leadership and business management principles, but it will also help them to apply those principles in their own work place situation, enhancing personal growth and motivation as well as company performance.”

Munters, which operates in 30 countries, has more than 3,200 staff and has been named in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For list.

The company aims to actively encourage the development of employees through dedicated training in order to promote from within and ensure employees skills are ready to meet the current and future business objectives of the company and its clients.
