Next steps in Local Information, Advice and Guidance services

default-16x9

In response to the consultation on its proposals to establish a network of Local Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) centres for adult learners around the country, the DfEE has now announced its plans.

The overall response to the consultation process is outlined in aSummary of Responses which is available online.

"In the light of this consultation, the Government has decided to proceed with the broad strategy for the development of local IAG services set out in the Consultation Paper. The Next Steps were announced by the DfEE at the start of April 1999.

This included a Planning Framework setting out the arrangements for the development and delivery of local IAG services in 1999-2000. To give potential providers a broad indication of the level of resources likely to be available, indicative figures of the resources likely to be available by LEA area, are presented in Allocation of Resources."
