Does anyone have any recommendations for Executive Coaches, organisations providing exec coaching services or views on the effectiveness of executive coaching?

I have been a trainer for many years now. I was recently in the same situation requiring information for executive coaching.

I would highly recommend The Vision Matrix who can be contact on 01453 519219. They have previously undertaken work which has included coaching the Executive Board at the Defence Procurement Agency.

I felt very much at ease with Mr Hall and his team when I introduced myself. What's more, they offer a free no-obligation showcase to experience their training techniques.

Richard,

I have been on the receiving end of executive coaching and so long as you are clear about why you want it & what you want as an outcome then it is a great vehicle.

Who you select will have a big impact on its success also because the personal relationship has to be right and you don't have a great deal of time to build the relationship before you have to trust what your coach is telling you.

I suggest that you get in touch with Changescape Limited whose website is at http://www.changescape.com as they have a number of coaches and can pair you up with someone who you can relate to easily and who has experience of the topic area you want coaching in.

My advice is don't rush into it and don't expect it to be a magic bullet. Make sure you vet your coach carefully and try to meet them before you start paying for their time. Be clear about what you want to achieve and if you commit to do something in between coaching sessions, make sure you do it or you will waste your time & money. Be prepared to put time & effort into your coaching and it will pay that back many times over.

Regards,

Nigel

Hi Richard,
I would echo the comments of some of the other replies - it won't be a magic solution!
