The biggest of the Es, engagement, is what all employees want from their staff, and also from their customers and clients. Engagement increases productivity and improves morale among staff, and increases loyalty among customers and staff. To get people engaged is fairly simple on paper. Just be: honest, authentic, innovative, ambitious. In practice it's a bit more difficult, and an entire industry has sprung up with a multitude of companies offering to shine a light on the path to engagement.
