This Theme Page provides a summary listing of the currently available resources on this site relating to all aspects of management development.


Resources

The Trainers Resource Library contains a number of useful downloadable documents on the subject of management development. Find these by going to Library, then the Management Development category.

The selection of resources available include:

  • Staff development for managers - A short course programme and handouts on the role of managers in relation to the development of their staff.

  • Supervision tools - A complete resource manual on developing supervision skills for managers, complete with explanatory text, models, ten activities and various resource sheets. Can be used for training purposes or for self-development.

The TrainingZONE/ HR Zone Blackwells Bookstore offers a wide range of management development-related books - over 10,000 in total!

Stored within the LearningMatters section of the reference section are a series of management articles and case studies. The up-to-date management articles are published by MCB University Press - one of the world's leading management journal publishers. The range of case studies have been selected from the libraries of MCB and Thomson Learning, and includes 'real managers don't do NVQ' and 'Managerial Effectiveness in small enterprises'.
