I need to find out about the Kepner Tregoe approach to problem solving. Is it a 'model' applied to problems ? How can I find out more about it ?

    Hi Angus,
Kepner-Tregoe is a problem solving technique taught on the OU foundation course. As a past student of this course, at Summer School, we were told that it derives from a technique developed at Harvard for providing insight into business related issues.
The process is the basis of Testability assessment as detailed in DEF-STD-13 and the equivalent MIL standard.
I have described the mechanism in a paper I presented to the test community in 1996 which in essence is a two part process:
I have an example I could e-mail you (more than 1000 characters).

I don’t have experience of the model which you describe, but have two KT books, Top Management Strategy, and Vision in Action. I met the folks at KT a few years back at their office in Windsor. I presume they are still there . . . . give them a call. They do run open courses.
