Association for Management Education and Development (AMED) conference

default-16x9

The Association for Management Education & Development (AMED) conference
"Working Communities: The Shape of Future Organisations" is being held at
Cranfield School of Management on 25/26 August 1999.
The themes include collaborative working; knowledge management; ethics and governance.

At work we are stretched. Activity is becoming global, businesses and disaggregating. Yet, increasingly, organisations are realising that work actually gets done by groups of people who know and value each other. People who work together in trust, joining together for mutual benefit, are working communities.

Our Keynote speakers will be Sir Stewart Hampson - Chairman, JLP, Barry Quirk - CEO, Lewisham Council, Charlie Leadbeater - DEMOS, Elizabeth Lank – ICL, Chris Byron – BA, Waterside, Richard Hicks – AIT Group and Bob Garratt – Author & International consultant.
Plus a host of workshop speakers will be presenting participative, practical workshops, for sharing models, strategies and results.

Benefits of attending this conference include:
- Being challenged by the latest ideas and by open debate and dialogue
- Networking with colleagues from leading public and private sector organisations, business schools and consultancies.
- Developing skills and methodologies you can put to immediate use
- Finding out how to design a working environment which fosters employee contact and creativity
- Setting an ethical framework of trust so that creativity can flourish
- Creating knowledge management systems that people want to use
