Now here's a useful site which has just come to our attention. We all know that Project Management can be something of a problem - communication breakdowns, people left out of the loop, data not distributed, - and all made a great deal more difficult when teams are physically distributed over distance so that normal social interaction is not as easy.

The iTeamwork site is a free web-based project management tool for anyone involved in the management or running of project teams. The service is conducted purely over the web, but updates all members of the project team automatically by email.

The format allows you to manage all aspects of the project including setting the goals, outcomes and completion dates; assigning and tracking tasks; incorporating multiple suppliers; email updates; and converting tasks into new projects.

If this is your line of work, its worth looking at before you custom build your own tool.
