Learning and Skills Council to offer bite-size learning

default-16x9

The Learning and Skills Council is to launch a nationwide programme of 'bite-size' training courses on Monday 4 June, but seems to be keeping the details to itself.

The new courses, which will last between one and three hours, plan to attract 50,000 adults into learning around the country in a range of venues.

However, when TrainingZONE rang the learndirect helpline (tel: 0800 100 900) for more details, they were unable to give any more information about the planned sessions. Instead, we were told that someone would write to us about the courses and that a database of courses would be launched 'nearer the time'. When we pointed out that it was difficult to get much nearer, it being the 31st May, we were told there was no more information available at this time. It appears that everything will be launched for proper on Monday.

If you do want to find out more about offering or promoting courses for employees or members of the public, try contacting your local Learning and Skills Council - all contact details are listed at www.lsc.gov.uk.
