Microsoft no longer scrapping Win NT4 track.

default-16x9

Last night Microsoft announced they are no longer scrapping the Windows NT 4.0 track. MCSE’s welcome this news as they no longer face the threat of decertification.

Microsoft stated that an MCSE that was certified under the Windows NT4 track will be given the new title of “MCSE on Windows NT 4.0”. Those who have sat the Windows 2000 track will be titled “MCSE Windows 2000”.

The reason for this sudden change appears to be due to customer demand. Ann McSweeney, Microsoft’s director of the Certification Group sated that “We shouldn’t be the ones calling the shots; we should let the market decide that”.

  1. The Barrel?
Is that ‘scraping’ as in scraping the barrel? Or should it be scrapping?
A Freudian slip if ever I read one.

  2. ???
Thats better!! Investing in a certification like NT4.0 was difficult enough, losing the certification was not a good idea…Did force us to do Win2K which was good in a way …
