The government has announced a £50 million initiative over three years to develop a network of local advice, information and guidance centres (to be known by the acronym IAG) for adult learners and potential learners throughout England.

The initiative will develop a range of services in partnership with Careers Services, the Employmen Service, TECs, colleges, local authorities and voluntary organisations.

Further details about the proposal are contained on the Lifelong Learning site at http://www.lifelonglearning.co.uk/iag/index.htm
