I had a look on this website and think what they are doing is wonderful and so worthwhile. I am a passionate animal lover (currently "own" a Border Collie/Lab cross) and if there was one nearer to where I live I would certainly enquire to see if they wanted my help.
Keep up the good work!

I would love the chance to review the book, "How to design and deliver great training". Even though I have been a trainer for over nine years, I think it's necessary to seek out new hints and tips wherever you can.

The "Fogging" and "Complementing" suggestions and I think will be using them in the future!
Rus - re the alternative similie for a broken record - how about a scratched CD or corrupted audio file?!

I totally agree with you Heather, life is far too short to be unhappy in a job. Some time ago, I was talking with a friend about how unhappy I was with the job I was in. After I told her that I felt I didn't "fit in" and that I felt I had been "mis-sold" the job, she said to me, "Ah yes, but at least it's paying the bills, isn't it?" My heart sank further - I really wanted her to support me. I explained that money wasn't the be all (even though I am the main earner in the family); I needed to feel valued and be able to respect for my peers and managers and have that respect for what I do for the company in return. Unfortunately, all my friend saw was the money I was earning - though I also craved job satisfaction, but she couldn't see that.

I'm sad to see that you're taking a break from the blogging - I've been reading most of the blogs in trainingzone recently and must say that the ones I have found thought-provoking, interesting and of value were yours! Please don't take any notice of negative/unhelpful comments; keep on doing what you were doing.
I must say a lot of your bloggs were really helpful - my career has taken a distinct turn (for the better - yipee!) and reading your blogs has helped in shaping where I take training and development for my employer.
Hope you have a good rest - but come back soon!
