This research snapshot, carried out by Chief Learning Officer and learningpool, explores the practices of the organisations with a mature metrics practice.
The survey was taken by a sample of Chief Learning Officer Business Intelligence Board (BIB) members, most of which are senior learning and development practitioners, directors and above. Approximately, 33% of the board are from organisations with revenue greater than $1bn and a further 22% are Fortune 100 or Fortune 500 companies. The majority of organisations on the BIB have more than 1,000 employees and 80% of members are from US-headquartered organisations.
According to the 2020 Learning State of the Industry survey, 63% of all participants report that their organisation’s measurement and metrics practices are fully aligned with learning strategy. Additionally, 26% of all organisations calculate a formal ROI for learning.
